TVS Motor Company Ltd Senior Vice President S Devarajan takes charge as BCIC President;
Brigade Hospitality Director and World Trade Center Managing Director Vineet Verma elevated to Senior Vice President BCIC
Bengaluru, NFAPost: The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) marked a significant milestone today as it hosted its 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the city.
Themed ‘Namma Karnataka, The Gateway to Future India’, the event witnessed a transition of leadership as the incumbent president L Ravindran handed over the reins to president designate to TVS Motor Company Ltd Senior Vice President S Devarajan to further BCIC’s efforts to drive trade and investment promotion in Karnataka.
Devarajan has been associated with TVS Motor Company for 38 years. In the past he has led new product development for the company. In his current role, he is facilitating the implementation of new process technology, lean manufacturing systems, digital manufacturing, TPM and JIT across the company.
Incumbent Vice President, BCIC and Director, Brigade Hospitality and Managing Director, World Trade Center, Bangalore, Vineet Verma was elevated as Senior Vice President, BCIC. BCIC will elect the new Vice President Designate at the earliest. The AGM was graced by past presidents, along with other eminent dignitaries from various industry sectors.
In his Presidential address, L Ravindran highlighted BCIC’s achievements over the past year, emphasising the chamber’s pivotal role in facilitating a conducive business environment and representing the interests of the industry across various forums.
President Designate BCIC TVS Motor Company Ltd Senior Vice President S Devarajan expressed his gratitude for being entrusted with the responsibility to lead BCIC and committed to carry forward the organization’s mission of fostering economic prosperity and innovation.
With the appointment of the new team, Vineet Verma opined that BCIC remains dedicated to its vision of driving progress and facilitating sustainable economic growth in the region.
In conjunction with the Annual General Meeting, BCIC also unveiled its Annual Report 2022-23. reflecting the organisation’s achievements and milestones over the last year.
BCIC also felicitated outstanding achievers who made remarkable contributions in their respective fields including Srinivas G Shirgurkar, Founder Director of Ace Designers Limited, for his entrepreneurial prowess and excellence in the field of auto components and machine tool industry, Sudhanshu Mani, Innovator of Vande Bharat Express (Train 18) and former GM, Integral Coach Factory, for spearheading the innovation team at Vande Bharat and Indian Athlete Ms. Anju Bobby George, for her success in world championship athletics and for being the most inspiring athlete in the country in the history of track and field events.
With the new office bearers, BCIC is poised to explore new opportunities and embrace challenges that may lie ahead.
