Bengaluru, NFAPost: In the latest update from the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 120 new coronavirus infections, marking a positive trend as active cases decreased to 2,148 from 2,248. As of 8 am today, the nation’s death toll stands at 5,31,892. The total number of COVID-19 cases reported in the country has reached 4.49 crore (4,49,93,080).
Amidst these figures, there is some encouraging news as the national recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.81%, as reported on the health ministry website. The number of individuals who have successfully recuperated from the disease has surged to 4,44,59,040, and the case fatality rate currently stands at 1.18%.
An additional update from the ministry’s website reveals that a significant milestone has been achieved in the nationwide vaccination drive, with a total of 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine administered across the country thus far.
