Bengaluru, NFAPost: Aero India 2025, Asia’s premier aerospace and defence exhibition, will be inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru on February 10. This year’s event is set to be the biggest yet, with over 900 exhibitors and representatives from 90 countries, including more than 100 Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) attending.
In a historic first, Aero India 2025 will feature two of the most advanced fifth-generation fighter aircraft—the Russian Su-57 and the American F-35 Lightning II. This marks a significant milestone in international defence collaboration, offering aviation experts and enthusiasts the chance to witness these cutting-edge warplanes.
- Sukhoi Su-57: Known for its stealth, air superiority, and strike capabilities, the Su-57 will make its debut at Aero India 2025. With advanced avionics, supercruise capability, and stealth technology, the aircraft will display high-speed manoeuvres and tactical demonstrations that highlight its agility and firepower.
- F-35 Lightning II: The Lockheed Martin F-35, renowned for its stealth, situational awareness, and networked combat capabilities, will also be on display. As the US Air Force’s flagship fighter, its inclusion represents a major moment for Aero India.
India’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) remarked, “The inclusion of both the Su-57 and F-35 showcases India’s role as a hub for international defence collaboration. Aero India 2025 offers a rare opportunity for a direct comparison of Eastern and Western fifth-generation fighter technology.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that Aero India is a vital platform for India’s defence preparedness and its broader vision of becoming a self-reliant global leader. “This event is not just a showcase of technology, but also an inspiration for our youth, encouraging innovation and scientific advancement,” he added.
