New Delhi, NFAPost: <\/strong>US Embassy New Delhi Charge d\u2019Affaires Jorgan Andrews emphasised that defence cooperation between India and the United States is integral to their growing strategic partnership ahead of Aero India 2025, set to take place in Bengaluru from\u00a0 February 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading the US delegation at the event will be Charge d\u2019Affaires Jorgan Andrews, alongside General Kevin Schneider, Commander of US Pacific Air Forces, Brigadier General Patrick Teague, Senior Defence Official of the U.S. Mission to India, and Consul General Chris Hodges from the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe U.S. is excited to once again participate in Aero India and to spotlight our strong defence ties with India. Our cooperation in defence, trade, and training is integral to our growing strategic partnership,\u201d said Andrews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an official US statement, this will mark the 15th participation of the U.S. in Aero India, Asia\u2019s premier aerospace and defence exhibition. At the event, the U.S. will showcase a range of advanced aircraft, underscoring the strong and expanding defence and aerospace partnership between the two nations, both of which are committed to regional security, stability, economic prosperity, and strategic investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over two dozen American exhibitors will take part in Aero India 2025, engaging with Indian counterparts to explore new business opportunities and demonstrate innovative solutions in aviation and defence. “These companies will display advancements in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), fighter aircraft, advanced avionics, and defence electronics,” the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Aero India 2023, the US and India have significantly deepened their defence collaboration, including through technological innovation, expanded trade, and increased cooperation in areas such as maritime security, cybersecurity, logistics, and counter-terrorism operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General Kevin Schneider, Commander of US Pacific Air Forces, said that Aero India 2025 offers an ideal platform for showcasing U.S. defence aircraft and equipment. \u201cThe growth in Indian and US bilateral defence trade has corresponded with growing interoperability through information sharing, liaison officers, training exercises, and defence enabling agreements,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also highlighted that the importance of the Indo-US partnership continues to grow, particularly as both nations face an increasingly complex and dynamic security environment in the Indo-Pacific region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The US will also display a range of defence equipment and technologies at the event, including the F-16, F-35, KC-135 Stratotanker, and B-1 bomber. In addition, the U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific\u2019s 10-member ensemble, Final Approach<\/em>, based at Yokota Air Base in Japan, will perform for the public on February 13 and 14 at Aero India, and again on February 11 at 5:00 pm. at the Christ University Auditorium in Bengaluru.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
