Amritsar, NFA Post: Sheesham wood furniture manufacturer and seller Saraf Furniture plans to invest $3.4 million for its 20 acre production unit in Sardarshaher, Rajasthan.
The investment is aimed to tackle high demands and challenges of customers posed in this pandemic time, and the company is focused on 200% increase in the production, it said in a statement.
The furniture firm, as per its expansion strategy, shall be operational by Jan 15, 2021, the company said.
Saraf Furniture, with this expansion in the production unit, expects to offer opportunities for 1,000 jobs for technicians and carpenters, and also plans to include female employees.
“We shall take them up and train all the female employees to match up with the standards of our men carpenters and technicians,” Founder and Chief Executive Officer Raghunandan Saraf said.
With the aim of becoming a furniture hub in Rajasthan, this Sardarshahar city expansion will follow the focused approach in setting up this production unit, he added.
Founded in 2014, Saraf Furniture specialises as a direct manufacturer of wide-range of solid sheesham wood products and the same are available for sale on the brand website as well as on a mobile application. The brand continues to expand its brick and mortar presence in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Surat, and Sardarshahar in Rajasthan.
