Bengaluru, NFAPost: As the main draw of the KPB Trust ITF Women’s Open W100 Bengaluru 2026 gets underway, Indian tennis fans have reason for optimism. Vaidehee Chaudhari delivered a composed and commanding performance in the final round of qualifying, sealing her spot in the main draw with a straight-sets victory.
Chaudhari overcame Evgeniya Burdina 6-2, 7-5 in a display marked by baseline control and tactical maturity. She dictated the tempo early, using sharp court coverage and controlled aggression to take the opening set 6-2. In the second, she broke in the opening game and maintained pressure, weathering a brief dip in accuracy before regaining momentum to break in the 11th game and close out the match 7-5.
Her qualification sets the tone for a strong Indian presence at the biggest ITF women’s event in the country.

The announcement comes as timely encouragement for Indian singles contenders including Sahaja Yamalapalli, wildcards Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi, Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty, Shruti Ahlawat, and Vaishnavi Adkar, who will look to capitalise on the opportunity in a highly competitive field.
Strong Indian Presence in Doubles
The doubles draw too reflects significant home interest. Experienced campaigner Prarthana G Thombare teams up with Jasmijn Gimbrere as the second seeds, while Ankita Raina partners Priska Madelyn Nugroho as the third seeds.
