Kalburgi / Belagavi, NFAPost: Former President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the seventh edition of Bharatiya Sanskriti Utstava started off on Wednesday at Sedam in Kalburgi district in Karnataka in a grand opening ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Former President Ram Nath Kovind exhorted the people to follow the great values of Indian culture which exhorts Vasudaika Kutumbakam.
“I am glad to know the upcoming discussions on motherhood, youth, environmental protection, agriculture, health, and nature-centric development—crucial for a sustainable future. Indian values are known for its sustainable philosophy of life,” said Former President Ram Nath Kovind.
He also said his happiness to attend the Bharatiya Sanskriti Utsav which highlights the deep connection via its theme From Nature to Culture which encapsulates India’s ancient wisdom.
“Bharatiya Sanskriti Utstava will organise discussions on motherhood, youth, environmental protection, agriculture, health, and nature-centric development—crucial for a sustainable future. My best wishes for the successful conduct of the event,” said Former President Ram Nath Kovind.
Organised as part of the golden jubilee of Sri Kottala Basaveshar Bharatiya Shikshana Samiti Sedam, the 21st year of Vikas Academya and the 21st year of Bharat Vikas Sangama, the seventh edition of Bharatiya Sanskriti Utstava began with grand procession also.
Bharat Vikas Sangama, a 9-day mega event organised at 240 acres of land on the theme ‘From Nature to Culture’, is conceptualised in such a way that it will become a platform for students, village folks and general public to meet experts who made their names at national and international level in various walks of life.
Speaking to TheNFAPost, Bharatiya Sanskriti Utstava Chief Coordinator Basavaraj Patil said human beings are made of Pancha thathwa and in this new age of fast life all are destroyed.
“We can witness around that there is no love for mother tongue. There is no respect for elders and farmers. We are living in a society where the work culture is witnessing a slow death and it will lead to total collapse of society. When we focus on physical development only then it will create disaster for our internal system. We have to look at a wholistic and inclusive development agenda,” said Bharatiya Sanskriti Utstava Chief Coordinator Basavaraj Patil.
Bharatiya Sanskriti Utstava Chief Coordinator Basavaraj Patil expects the 7th edition of Bharat Vikas Sangama will definitely make deep impacts in the minds of people and bring a new beacon of hope in the life of people in Sedam after listening from the experience of great personalities who come to interact at the event.
The event has exhibitions, activities and events under 8 sub themes. They include Krishi Loka, Seva Loka, Bala Loka, Swaeshi Udyama Loka, Vijnana Loka, Jnana Loka, Udyama Loka, Kala & Samskrutika Loka.
As part of the event, magnificent Shobha Yatra were organised in all districts and taluks of Kalyana Karnataka starting from 27th January. Following day, another big procession is also organised at Sedam and Kalburgi depicting Indian culture and followed by the inauguration of various exhibitions organised at Prakruti nagar, on Bheeranahalli Road in Sedam.
The former Chief Minister and MP Jagadish Shettar flagged off the Shobha Yatra at Nagareshwara School in Nehru Gunj as part of Bharatiya Sanskriti Utstava. Colourful procession, featuring stunning tableaux and cultural troupes comprising Kamsaale, Dollu Kunitha, Navilu Kunitha, Bombe Kunitha, Nagari and Kangeelu Kunitha, began from Nagareshwara School, passed through the Supermarket, Jagat Circle and reached Nutan Vidyalaya Grounds.
Chairperson of Sharanabasaveshwara Vidya Vardhak Sangha Dakshayini S. Appa, MLA Basavaraj Mattimod, educationist Gururaj Karajagi and others participated in the procession.
Besides performance of classical songs, devotional songs, bhavageete, patriotic songs, grand yoga by trained citizen, BSU-7 will have special lectures and interactions by invited guests for Science Loka, Agriloka, Art Loka etc at Arivine Mane ( enlightenment hall ), the event will conclude with a grand music concert on 6th February between 9pm to 11.30 pm.
