ElevateX 2026 Signals a Turning Point for Human-Centric Automation in India

Teradyne Robotics brings industry leaders, startups and innovators together in Bengaluru as Indian enterprises move decisively from pilot projects to intelligent, scalable automation

Bengaluru, NFAPost: India’s automation journey entered a new and defining phase on Tuesday as Teradyne Robotics hosted ElevateX 2026 in Bengaluru—its flagship industry forum dedicated to the future of human-centric, collaborative and intelligent automation. The event brought together Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), positioning India as a rapidly maturing market where automation is no longer experimental but business-critical.

Designed as a high-impact platform for leadership dialogue and ecosystem engagement, ElevateX 2026 convened more than 25 CEOs, CXOs, technology leaders, startups, system integrators and media representatives, reflecting the growing urgency among Indian enterprises to scale automation safely, flexibly and intelligently.

From Experimentation to Enterprise-Wide Adoption

A central theme running through ElevateX 2026 was India’s transition from isolated automation pilots to large-scale, production-ready deployments. Teradyne Robotics emphasised that collaborative robots (cobots) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) are now firmly entering the mainstream across manufacturing and intralogistics.

The shift, speakers noted, is being driven by rising productivity pressures, labour constraints, safety imperatives and the need for resilient, future-ready operations.

The forum highlighted how flexible automation architectures—capable of rapid redeployment and modular scaling—are enabling Indian companies to adopt robotics without the complexity and rigidity traditionally associated with industrial automation.

Real-World Automation in Action

ElevateX 2026 featured live demonstrations and use-case showcases across sectors including automotive, FMCG, food and beverage, logistics and education. From palletising and welding to machine tending, material transport and workforce training, the demonstrations illustrated how cobots and AMRs are delivering faster ROI, simpler deployment and improved throughput across both high-mix and high-volume environments.

These real-world applications underlined Teradyne Robotics’ emphasis on safe automation—solutions designed to work alongside people, enhancing productivity while improving workplace safety and consistency.

AI as the Catalyst for Intelligent Collaboration

Speaking at the event, James Davidson, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, Teradyne Robotics, framed automation as entering a decisive new era.

“Automation is entering a defining phase—one where intelligence, flexibility and human-centric design are no longer optional, but fundamental to how businesses innovate, scale and compete,” Davidson said.
“AI is transforming robots from tools that simply execute tasks into intelligent collaborators that can perceive, learn and adapt in dynamic environments.”

He pointed out that India is witnessing a clear inflection point.

“We are seeing a decisive shift from experimentation to enterprise-wide adoption,” he added.
“ElevateX 2026 reflects this momentum by bringing the ecosystem together to explore how collaborative and intelligent automation can become a strategic growth engine—for both established enterprises and the next generation of startups.”

India Emerges as a Strategic Automation Market

Reinforcing India’s growing importance within Teradyne Robotics’ global strategy, Poi Toong Tang, Vice President of Sales, Asia Pacific, described the country as one of the most dynamic automation markets in the region.

“Organizations today are not just looking to automate,” Tang said.
“They are looking to build operations that are flexible, resilient and future-ready. The demand is for modular automation that delivers faster ROI and evolves alongside business needs.”

He added that through Universal Robots and MiR, Teradyne Robotics is enabling end-to-end automation across production and intralogistics, helping Indian companies compete more effectively on a global stage.

Lowering Barriers, Building Capability

For the Indian market, Teradyne Robotics’ strategy goes beyond technology deployment. Sougandh K.M., Business Director – South Asia, stressed the importance of ecosystem collaboration.

“India’s automation journey will be defined by collaboration—between partners, system integrators, startups and skilled talent,” he said.
“Automation should be for anyone and anywhere. Robots should enable people to do better work, not work like robots.”

Sougandh emphasised Teradyne’s focus on automating dull, dirty and dangerous tasks, while improving productivity, safety and quality.

“ElevateX 2026 is about lowering barriers to adoption and building long-term capability in India,” he added.
“Our goal is to make automation practical, scalable and accessible, and to position Teradyne Robotics as a trusted partner at every stage of growth.”

Customer Success Takes Centre Stage

A key highlight of the event was the spotlight on customer success stories, with Origin standing out. The fast-growing US-based construction technology startup shared how its partnership with Universal Robots is driving measurable impact on productivity, safety and quality.

Yogesh Ghaturle, Co-founder and CEO of Origin, said collaborative automation has become central to the company’s vision.

“Our goal is to bring true autonomy to the construction site, transforming how the world builds,” Ghaturle said.
“Executing this at scale requires a technology stack where every component operates with absolute predictability. Universal Robots provides the robust operational backbone we need.”

He added that with cobots handling mechanical precision, Origin can focus on deploying intelligent systems in real-world environments at scale.

A Defining Moment for Automation in India

As ElevateX 2026 concluded, the message from the stage was unambiguous: India’s automation story is no longer about possibility—it is about execution. With AI-driven intelligence, collaborative design and ecosystem partnerships converging, the country is poised to emerge as a global hub for scalable, human-centric automation.

For Teradyne Robotics, ElevateX 2026 was not just an industry forum—it was a statement of intent, marking a new chapter in how robots, people and intelligence will work together to shape the future of Indian industry.
