Chennai / New Delhi, NFAPost: Arms for Farmers Pvt. Ltd Founder & Director Dr Saravanan Kandasamy exhorted the need for doing sustainable organic farming with a focus on soil health.
Speaking at the weekly panel discussion organised by the First World Community (FWC), Arms for Farmers Pvt. Ltd Founder & Director Dr Saravanan Kandasamy said there is a need for mindset change to get into this kind of farming.
“When there is rain the farmers will go with maximum yield. But now we have to educate farmers to reduce the supply and bringing higher price via doing sustainable organic farming with a focus on soil health. This will bring parity on demand and supply in the market,” said Arms for Farmers Pvt. Ltd Founder & Director Dr Saravanan Kandasamy.
He also highlighted that there is a dearth of government policy initiatives to educate farmers in this method of farming.
“Climate change is a major issue and our farmers are not aware of its impact. I want to emphasise in giving more status to farmers and reduce farmers death with government intervention. We have to farm high yielding fruits and vegetables,” said Arms for Farmers Pvt. Ltd Founder & Director Dr Saravanan Kandasamy.
