Thge delegation from Bengaluru visits Hitachi Construction Machinery Co Ltd and Hitachi Tsubuka Parts Warehous
Tokyo, NFAPost: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) delegation led by CII Institute Of Quality, Bengaluru, visited Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and Hitachi Tsubuka Parts Warehouse on day two of their seven-day visit to Japan.
The visit to these two sites owned by Hitachi was primarily intended to provide the delegation a global benchmark in manufacturing excellence, quality culture, and operational discipline.
Speaking on the visit to the Hitachi facilities, CII Institute of Quality Chief Operating Officer (COO) Neil Christopher Castelino said the visit gave a ringside view of best prictices on Japanese companies in amnufacturing space.
“Hitachi Construction Machinery Co Ltd whcich started its journey in 1979, is a construction equipment company mainly in the fields of excavators, wheel loaders and mining equipment. Their manufacturing expertise spans more than four decades, with 25,000 employees, and focuses on sales and service. The visit gave us an overview of the best manufacturing practices,” said CII Institute of Quality Chief Operating Officer (COO) Neil Christopher Castelino.

Talking to NFAPost, a delegate also pointed out that the visit gave him insights on the company’s global product design and development initiatives.
“Hitachi has established a global product design and development company under the direct control of Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. in India so that the company can respond to the requests of customers not only in India but also around the world,” said the delegate who is part of CII Institute Of Quality, Bengaluru.
The delegation also visited Hitachi Construction Machinery Tsukuba Central Parts Depot (CPD), established in 2014 in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki. Tsukuba Central Parts Depot serves as the primary global hub for distributing construction and mining machinery service parts. Operated by Logisteed (formerly Hitachi Transport System), the facility ensures speedy, on-time, and stable operation of parts for worldwide customers.
