Bengaluru, NFAPost: Ahead of the Aero India 2025 exhibition, Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi took a joint sortie in the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas on Sunday.
The 45-minute flight, which commenced around 1:30 p.m., marked the first occasion that the two chiefs of India’s armed forces had flown together in the Tejas fighter jet. During the sortie, Air Chief Marshal Singh piloted the aircraft while General Dwivedi took the co-pilot’s seat.
This momentous flight, just a day before the start of Aero India, underscores the unity and preparedness of India’s military forces, sending a strong message of their readiness to address any challenges that may arise.

The five-day Aero India 2025 exhibition will begin in Bengaluru on February 10, concluding on February 14. Rehearsals for the aerial displays have already commenced at the Yelahanka Air Force Station, with thousands of aviation enthusiasts arriving in the city in anticipation of the spectacular performances.
Aero India is regarded as Asia’s premier aerospace and defence trade exhibition, and this year, the United States will be a prominent participant. Over two dozen American exhibitors will join Indian counterparts at the event, showcasing a range of advanced aircraft and defence technologies. These exhibitors will highlight innovations in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), fighter aircraft, advanced avionics, and defence electronics, reinforcing the growing defence and aerospace partnership between India and the US.
