A mobile health and fitness app, HealthifyMe, has launched VaccinateMe.in.
This platform is to find COVID-19 vaccination slots in real-time, and it is now also available in 10 Indian regional languages besides English, namely Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Odia, Punjabi and Malayalam, a release said.
In case a vaccination slot is not available, VaccinateMe.in now has added an option where users can sign up for real-time SMS alerts as and when new slots open up.
This has been done to remove linguistic barriers and democratise the platform’s access to users who are more comfortable in their vernacular languages.
While the company was already offering the website in English along with WhatsApp alerts, regional languages and SMS have been added to ensure those without smartphones can also easily access the information in time and make arrangements for booking their slot.
The idea behind this is to help more people find vaccination slots easily and boost participation in the country’s inoculation drive. .
VaccinateMe.in has recorded exceptional response since its launch and has helped over 3 million users with notifications and slots availability across 700 districts in the country.
Along with the metros, the platform has also received massive traction from Tier 2 and 3 cities like Mysuru, Lucknow, Nashik, Indore, Patna, Meerut, Tirupati and Belgaum, among others. On the first day of its launch itself, over a quarter million users enrolled on the app and now over 500,000 users on average are using the platform daily.
In addition to that, over 21 lakh slot availability notifications have been sent to the people who have registered on the platform.
The company has over 1000 employees, with a physical presence in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
HealthifyMe Co-founder and CEO Tushar Vashisht said, “In the current crisis – getting vaccinated is the best thing one can do to be healthy and fit.”
“It is heartening to see over 3 million users have found VaccinateMe.in useful. With the platform now available in 11 languages and slot open notifications being sent via SMS, we hope more people will use it to find vaccination slots as they become available. This service is and will remain for free and we will continue to do our bit to serve the country with relevant health-tech solutions,” he added.
VaccinateMe.in was launched by HealthifyMe to encourage people to get vaccinated at the earliest and notify the users when a slot opens up via SMS or WhatsApp. Users can access this service either on the HealthifyMe app or by visiting VaccinateMe.in. The platform is integrated with relevant filters to customise the search based on pin code, district, age, choice of vaccine, and free or paid vaccination centers.
