Tokyo, NFAPost: A Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) delegation led by CII Institute Of Quality, Bengaluru, began its seven day visit to Japan by visiting Yuken Kogyo Co Ltd and Nissan/Omron Automation Centre on day one.
The high level exclusive delegation to Japan is primarily to understand the global benchmark for manufacturing excellence, quality culture, and operational discipline.
Speaking to TheNFAPost, CII Institute Of Quality Principal Counsellor and National deputy head TPM Biju raj said the delegation is designed to provide first-hand exposure to world-class Japanese manufacturing practices.
“The high level delegation will visit various factory premises and institutes to foster business collaborations and enable deep learning from best-in-class organisations that have shaped global competitiveness,” said CII Institute Of Quality Principal Counsellor and National deputy head TPM Biju Raj.
On the day one of the visit, the delegation visited Yuken Kogyo Co Ltd, a manufacture of industrial machinery and equipment industry company. It employes around 5000 employess and headquareted in Ayase, Kanagawa, Japan.
The objectives of the delegation is Benchmark against Japanese Manufacturing practices, Learn advanced practices in TPM, Lean, TQM, Kaizen, and Digital Manufacturing, Take-away the management philosophies that integrate into continuous day-to-day improvements, Translate global best practices into Indian business environement, Learn the philosophy, tools and systems of TPM & TQM Production System in action.
The Indian delegation includes CXOs, Plant / Factory / Works Heads, Factory Supervisors, Team Leaders, TPM Heads, Manufacturing / Industrial Engineers Heads and Continuous improvement Heads.
