Wayanad Literature Festival (WLF) Invites Application for Diploma In Visual Storytelling & Media Production

Bengaluru, NFAPost: Wayanad Literature Festival (WLF), India’s largest rurally-held literature festival, has invited applications for Diploma in Visual Storytelling & Media Production. 

The Diploma course gives an opportunity for discerning candidates to dabble in video production, editing, flying of drones, multicam live broadcasting, drone shooting, AI filmmaking, etc. 

Speaking to TheNFAPost, WLF Founder Director Dr Vinod K Jose said there is a growing demand for visual storytelling using digital technologies as Indians are moving towards a mobile-first nation. 

“People are more inclined to view visual stories via mobile, even in vernacular languages of India. It is high time that we should promote visual storytelling with various ingredients of digital technology. There is a mass consumption explosion in this space, and we have a dearth of experts to produce such stories,” said Wayanad Literature Festival (WLF) Director Vinod K Jose.

Wayanad Literature Festival (WLF) Director Vinod K Jose also said that candidates from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala are invited to Wayanad to attend the intense eight-week long training spread over eight months.

“We want to make it more people focus and nourish storytelling in grassroot level. The course registration last date is February 15th of 2026, and fee is Rs 50,000, but there’re scholarships for deserving candidates. There will be in-person classes and training sessions as part of the course,” said Wayanad Literature Festival (WLF) Director Vinod K Jose.

Candidates who want to participate in the Wayanad Literature Festival (WLF) offered Diploma in Visual Storytelling & Media Production course, will have to first send an email a statement of interest, which will explain the person’s background and why he / she wants to do this course.

The mail should have a detailed biodata along with a letter stating the need for a scholarship. The applicant also shares samples of any videos already created. The Diploma in Visual Storytelling & Media Production course will have a total of 12 modules. It includes Basic Video Theory, Professional Video Filming, Reel Making (Short-Form Content), Live Broadcasting, Multi-Camera Production, Drone Shooting, Premiere Pro Editing, Editing for Different Lengths, Audiences & Platforms, Journalism Essentials, Graphic Designing, AI Film & Documentary Making and Real-World Production Workflow.
