Chandini Chowk Member of Parliament directs officials to immediately resolve the problems of the people
Praveen Khandelwal states that it is for the first time an MP is organising a Jan Chaupal in his constituency
New Delhi, NFAPost: BJP MP from Chandni Chowk Praveen Khandelwal is taking forward his historic initiative of Jan Chaupal by organising its first meeting on the footpath in Shalimar Bagh in the city and patiently listened to the problems of the people and gave directions to the officials present on the spot for their immediate disposal.
A huge crowd of people was seen in the Jan Chaupal set up near Everbake in B N Block of Shalimar Bagh. Officials from 8 different government departments – DDA, PWD, MCD, DSUIB, Delhi Police, Jal Board, NDPL, and DM office, were present in this Chaupal on the instructions Praveen Khandelwal and noted down the problems of the people on the spot and started working on their solutions.
With the aim of having direct communication with the people of his constituency and providing immediate solutions to their daily problems, Praveen Khandelwal started Jan Chaupal on the footpath. This is the first experiment of its kind across the country when an MP will solve people’s problems by sitting on the footpath.
Regarding setting up such a Chaupal, Praveen Khandelwal said that as a public representative, keeping in mind his availability and communication among the people and immediate resolution of their problems, he has decided to set up a Jan Chaupal.
“In this way, I am taking the initiative to bring ‘Your MP-Your Door’ so that he should be one among the citizen to resolve all issues practically. I am committed to fulfill all the promises or pledges I had made during the elections and will leave no stone unturned in solving the problems of the people in my constituency,” said Praveen Khandelwal.
A large number of local people in the Chaupal told Praveen Khandelwal about their various problems, most of which were related to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, which the corporation officials present in the Chaupal took note of and assured to resolve immediately. Apart from this, people also talked about the problem of electricity and water, which was heard by the Jal Board and NDPL officials present in the Chaupal and they started taking action to solve it.
The local people also pointed out many problems related to traffic and parking, which were handed over to the officials of Delhi Traffic Police. Apart from this, people also raised problems like lack of community centres, encroachment on the tracks, lack of facilities in the markets, recreation centers for senior citizens laid on which On the instructions of Mr Khandelwal, the concerned officers present took cognizance.
