India’s food and beverages industry accounts for around 3% of the GDP and is the single largest employer in the country, with more than 7.3 million workforce. Even though the nationwide lockdown set this industry on a downward spiral, the Indian food and beverages industry is in a recovery mode.
According to Arvian Research, India’s agriculture exports, which stand at over $50 billion at present, are expected to double by 2030 and reach $100 billion.
“Here we have to understand that Food and Beverage industry will act as a catalyst in value addition in agriculture and quadrapul with export and domestic opportunities. Here we should also factor in that the country is targeting $2 trillion worth of exports of goods and services by 2030,” said Arvian Research.
