Revolutionizing Mobility: A Global Confluence of Innovation and Sustainability
New Delhi, NFAPost: In a landmark event set to reshape the landscape of sustainable transportation, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 is poised to kick off from February 1st to 3rd in New Delhi. Hosted by prominent industry associations and backed by the Government of India, the expo aims to unite the entire mobility value chain, showcasing the strides India is making in sustainable transportation.
The inauguration, scheduled for February 1st, 2024, will witness the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with industry veterans from India and over 50 countries worldwide. The event is not merely a showcase but a comprehensive discussion platform focusing on Electric Vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing, safety, recycling, and EV charging infrastructure.
The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) takes centre stage by organizing three dedicated pavilions, each highlighting crucial aspects of the industry – battery technologies, recycling, and EV infrastructure. Over 60 leading companies, including industry giants like Amara Raja, LivGuard, and GODI Energy, are set to exhibit their innovations in these pavilions.
Addressing the critical need for skilled professionals in the future mobility industry, the IESA Academy, in collaboration with the International Solar Alliance (ISA), will launch the “Future Mobility Learning Centre” during the expo. With multiple free training sessions, this initiative aims to bridge the skill gap and ensure a future-ready workforce. The sessions will be supported by key industry bodies like the Automotive Skills Development Council and the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India.
Dr. Rahul Walawalkar, President of IESA and CES India, expressed excitement about the expo, highlighting India’s commitment to sustainable transportation. He emphasized the role of battery technologies in driving innovation and contributing to the nation’s energy transition.
The expo also features three dedicated conferences organized by IESA, covering crucial topics:
- International Battery Manufacturing, Recycling & Circular Economy Conference (Feb. 1): Focused on the 10 GWh ACC-PLI announcement, progress on giga factories, raw materials processing, and challenges in the recycling industry.
- Global EV Battery Safety Forum: A groundbreaking event bringing together battery manufacturers, EV OEMs, and industry leaders to ensure a safer EV ecosystem.
- Bharat EV Charging & Battery Swapping Leadership Summit (Feb. 2): An opportunity for industry CXOs and government officials to strategize and boost the EV infrastructure in India.
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo is a collaborative effort managed by 11 industry associations, supported by nine ministries, and led by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. IESA plays a pivotal role as a key partner and part of the coordination committee driving this global mega expo.
As India takes a giant leap towards sustainable mobility, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 promises to be a milestone event, showcasing not only advancements in the auto sector but also pushing the boundaries of innovation in battery technologies, recycling, and EV infrastructure.
