Bengaluru, NFAPost: In a landmark move aimed at strengthening India’s sovereign capabilities in the global space economy, Bengaluru-based Earth Observation (EO) intelligence firm SatSure has entered into a strategic alliance with Hyderabad-headquartered Dhruva Space, a full-stack space engineering company. The collaboration marks the formation of India’s first comprehensive Earth Observation-as-a-Service (EOaaS) platform—integrating satellite design, payload development, launch services, ground segment infrastructure, and analytical intelligence under one umbrella.
The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), seeks to combine the core strengths of both organizations. SatSure’s wholly-owned subsidiary KaleidEO, which recently achieved successful qualification of its sub-meter optical and multispectral payloads, brings cutting-edge EO analytics and sensor technology to the table. Meanwhile, Dhruva Space contributes its robust infrastructure, including India’s largest private satellite integration and testing facility, designed to support spacecrafts up to 500 kg.

The collaboration is timely, given the rising global demand for EO data in sectors such as agriculture, disaster management, finance, energy, and defense. By offering a one-stop EOaaS solution, the SatSure-Dhruva alliance positions itself as a global contender, capable of servicing commercial and strategic clients across geographies.
SatSure, established in 2017, is known for its demand-driven EO products tailored to non-traditional commercial sectors. It serves customers across India, Europe, North America, the Middle East, Australia, and Japan. KaleidEO, its tech subsidiary launched in 2022, has developed India’s first private sub-meter-class multispectral EO payloads.
Dhruva Space, with a proven spaceflight heritage, is currently scaling up its infrastructure through a 280,000 sq. ft spacecraft manufacturing facility in Hyderabad—an industry-first in India. The facility offers capabilities ranging from design and engineering to integration and testing for a new generation of small satellites.
