Bengaluru, NFAPost: Siddaramaiah sworn in as Karnataka Chief Minister on Saturday at the Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium, marking the beginning of a new era in Karnataka’s political landscape.
Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot read out the oath for Siddaramaiah. He sworn in the name of god even though widely viewed as a rationalist.
For Siddaramaiah it is the second term as chief minister as he also held that position previously from 2013 to 2018. He is also the only the second politician from Karnataka to hold that office for a full five-year term.
In the 2023 Legislative Assembly election, he was electedfrom Varuna constituency.
D K Shivakumar then sworn as the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka. Others who sworn in include G Parameshwara, K H Muniyappa, K J George, M B Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy and B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan.
