New Delhi, NFAPost: The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Monday rejected Amazon’s plea against the Competition Commission of India (CCI) order suspending approval for the ecommerce major’s deal with Future Coupons.
The authority has directed Amazon to deposit Rs 200 crore penalty.
Commenting on the development, Confederation of All India Traders Secretary (CAIT) General Praveen Khandelwal said CAITI welcome the order which clearly states wrong doings of Amazon.
“Any plot to capture e-Commerce & retail trade of India will not be succeeded. India is not a banana republic & laws are not weak,” said Confederation of All India Traders Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal.
