Bengaluru, NFPost: India’s $190 billion strong IT services industry is coming back to normalcy as the leading company Infosys has sent memos to its employees asking them to come to the office and start working.
This move is expected to bring back normalcy to the Indian IT services industry as they are witnessing a spurt in demand to meet client requirements.
At the same time, Infosys didn’t call all the employees as it shows the caution among the management to take on the crisis. In its memo to employees, Infosys said the country’s safety situation seems to be improving, with growing vaccination coverage.
The Indian IT behemoth said it had been operating in emergency mode for months but noted that the situation in the country was now improving. “We have been getting requests from certain accounts to allow their team members to work from Infosys campuses, In addition, some of our employees have also been asking to come back and start working from the office, as a personal preference,” reports Reuters.
India is going through the devastating second wave of Covid-19 pandemic inflicted business impact. But at the same time the country’s daily number of infections are now a tenth of the peak and according to reports infections have fallen to the lowest in four months on Tuesday.
