The event will also have a health camp for all the participants at the Gunjur Palya Government School
Bengaluru, NFAPost: Varthur Malayalee Association (VMA) is holding a blood donation camp on Sunday at the Gunjur Palya Government School in association with Belenus Champion Hospital.
As part of the blood donation camp between 9.30 am to 4 pm, VMA is also organising a full-day health checkup camp with the support of a pediatric specialist, cardiologist and orthopaedic experts.
Speaking on the event, VMA Secretary Nidhen said the blood donation camp is organised to sensitise society on the need for more people to donate blood with our slogan ‘Donate blood and save lives’.
“We come to know about the need for blood when our relatives and close friends get hospitalised. There will be a mad rush during that time while talking with multiple people to get it. VMA wants to sensitise the society and save blood during the camp so that there should not be a shortage of blood in Bengaluru,” said VMA Secretary Nidhen.
Whitefield Cyber, Economic and Narcotic (CEN) Police Station Sub Inspector Manjunath P will inaugurate the blood donation camp.
Sharing his perspective, VMA President Shaji Rajan Thathanoor said the blood donation camp by VMA is also an initiative to sensitise society to build a healthy lifestyle during this hyper-competitive environment.
“As part of the Blood Donation Camp, VAM is also organising discounted health checkup packages for all the camp participants. Also, we have decided to distribute various types of coupons for those who attend the camp,” said VMA President Shaji Rajan Thathanoor.
