The 25th anniversary celebration of TiE Bangalore got off to a flying start with the overwhelming participation of old members, new members and the TiE Bengaluru Director Board
Bengaluru, NFAPost: The Indian entrepreneurial ecosystem has reached a maturity level and the coming 25 years the country can carve a niche in this journey by harnessing new-age technology and lead the world, said TiE Bengaluru President Madan Padaki while speaking at the 25th anniversary celebration of the chapter.
“I am confident that India’s moment has come. During the last 20 years, we have been looking at the West as far as entrepreneurial ecosystem and innovation-led disruption. But the coming 25 years India will carve its niche with its own ways of ecosystem building and technological prowess. India will become the epicentre of innovation where the entire globe will look at us with awe and wonder,” said TiE Bengaluru President Madan Padaki.
Lauding TiE Bangalore efforts to be different in building an entrepreneurial ecosystem in India with a global impact, TiE Bengaluru President Madan Padaki said the chapter members have played an important role in making things happen.
“I would extend my warm regards to all TiE members and its past leadership in nurturing the organisation with trend-setting initiative. Now, we are continuing those legacies of our yester years starwalts with renewed vigour to achieve greater success and impact in fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem to solve Indian problems and then create a global impact,” said TiE Bengaluru President Madan Padaki.
Speaking at the event TiE Bangalore 25th celebration event, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) Chairman and StartupXseed Ventures Founder & Managing Partner B V Naidu reminisced the long journey TiE Bengaluru traversed when entrepreneurial ecosystem building and even startups were not usual nomenclatures.
“We were working under an environment during that time when startups and entrepreneurs were less heard words. Being part of the government, I had the opportunity witness the growth trajectory of startup ecosystem in Bengaluru. Those who had utmost guts took the challenge and it was very very difficult to get funding,” said KDEM Chairman and StartupXseed Ventures Founder & Managing Partner B V Naidu.
KDEM Chairman and StartupXseed Ventures Founder & Managing Partner B V Naidu also lauded the leading lights who brought name and fame to Bengaluru startup ecosystem and making it as the world’s third largest with its sheer quality and impact.
Reminiscing the growth of TiE Bengaluru, NextWealth Founder & Managing Director and Past President of TiE Bengaluru Dr Sridhar Mitta said it was an eventful journey for TiE Bangalore after its was formed and Nandan Nilekani became its first president.
“Then I became the second president after he became too busy with his entrepreneurial journey. Then during my stint we managed to get a Rs 1.25 crore savings and decided to invest in setting up own building for TiE Bangalore. I approached a builder and thus we bame the first TiE chapter to get its own building to carry out operation,” said NextWealth Founder & Managing Director and Past President of TiE Bengaluru Dr Sridhar Mitta.
Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) CEO Sanjeev Gupta said TiE Bangalore has played a pivotal role in nurturing the startup ecosystem and it is the yardstick for others to look upon.
“TiE Bangalore has stellar performance during its 25 years of existence and we are indebted to all the past presidents and board of directors. It is great to see that under the dynamic leadership of TiEBangalore President Madan Padaki the organisation is leapfrogging and setting new standards. I am happy to see under his leadership the upcoming TiE Global Summit 2024 will become a historical moment for all startup stakeholders,” said Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) CEO Sanjeev Gupta.
The event also marked cultural events and get-together of all TiE Bangalore members and their extended family.
Expressing his happiness over the habitat-building initiative, Derbi Foundation Chief Executive Officer Sathyanarayana B V said TiEBangalore is really helping enhancing entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country.
“The young generation is also showing much enthusiasm in joining TiE Bangalore as they find it as a platform where ecosystem nurturing activities are happening. These young entrepreneurs are also getting exposed to global partners in their journey,” said rbi Foundation Chief Executive Officer Sathyanarayana B V said TiEBangalore.
