Furthermore, the conference will serve as a platform to showcase India’s thriving AI ecosystem, which includes key initiatives like DI Bhashini, the India Datasets Program, the IndiaAI Futuredesign program for startups, and the IndiaAI FutureSkills program dedicated to nurturing top-tier AI talent.
MoS Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar underscored the meticulous groundwork done for IndiaAI, highlighting the significant contributions of working groups collaborating with industry, startups, and academia partners. These groups have devised a comprehensive framework for the IndiaAI initiative, centred around pillars such as AI in Governance, AI Computing and Systems, Data for AI, AI IP and innovation, and Skilling in AI. These pillars will form an integral part of the upcoming conference’s agenda.
In conclusion, the Minister stressed the appeal of India as an AI hub, citing the country’s rich diversity as a valuable asset for generating high-quality datasets. He also emphasized the importance of responsible AI to mitigate user harm while encouraging innovation. The ultimate goal, he said, is to foster a collaborative and participatory approach to AI, harnessing its potential to enhance governance and improve lives while forging global partnerships that actively shape the world’s technology landscape.
