Bengaluru, NFAPost: Planview, a renowned platform for connected work spanning portfolio planning to delivery, has unveiled its expanded Planview Global Capability & Innovation Center (CIC) in Bengaluru. The inauguration took place on August 17th, with Mr. Razat Gaurav, Global CEO of Planview, and Mr. Jonathan Heimer, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, representing the India-American Chamber of Commerce. This expansion marks a strategic move by Planview to fortify its presence in India, supporting the company’s ongoing growth initiatives, enhancing its capabilities, and providing enhanced value to its global clientele.
With a customer base exceeding 4,500 and serving 2.6 million users across diverse industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, Automotive, and Technology, Planview boasts over 34 years of industry leadership.
Mr. Razat Gaurav, Global CEO of Planview, expressed confidence in the company’s Indian operations, emphasizing the escalating global investments in digital transformation. “In the next 18 months, more than half (55%) of all Information and Communication Technology (ICT) investment will focus on transformation, with many of those initiatives led by teams in India innovation centres,” he stated. “Our expanded footprint allows us to support global clients at a time of increasing digital transformation and business activity in the world’s fastest-growing economic region. Our CIC will help customers fast-track their digital transformation while supporting the economic growth of the region.”
Gaurav unveiled a series of strategic initiatives to boost Planview’s Indian operations and drive global growth, including the appointment of Shalini Sankarshana as Country Manager & Managing Director of the CIC and India, and Vishal Dhawan as Managing Director and President, of APAC. The company is also significantly expanding its talent pool within the Capability and Innovation Center, increasing its workforce by over 250% in the past two years across various critical functions such as Data Science, R&D, Partnerships, Cybersecurity, and more. To support these initiatives, Planview plans to invest more than $125 million USD in headcount and centre operating expenses over the next four years.
The CIC’s inauguration was attended by Gaurav and special guest Mr. Jonathan Heimer, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy, New Delhi – India American Chamber of Commerce. This newly expanded centre will primarily focus on product innovation and customer services across key solution areas, enabling Planview to provide transformative and complex business technology solutions to its clients and ecosystem partners worldwide.
Shalini Sankarshana, Country Manager & Managing Director of Planview, highlighted the opportunities the expanded Bengaluru presence brings. “Planview’s expanded presence in Bengaluru will create many opportunities for our existing employees to do impactful work for clients across the globe,” she noted. “It also enables our company to harness the diverse and considerable talent across the country, which is vital in advancing our innovation roadmap and supporting our clients as they continue their business transformation journey.”
In December 2020, Planview was acquired for US$1.6 billion by TPG Capital and TA Associates. The company established its APAC headquarters in Singapore in July 2022 and currently boasts over 1,300 employees across India, APAC, North America, and EMEA.
