New Delhi, NFAPost: The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) while expecting that festival season may bring a fresh infusion of about Rs 3 lakh crores by way of spending by consumers during the upcoming festival season beginning from Raksha Bandhan on 30th August to forthcoming Diwali festival which will end on 24th November, has given a the day of Tulsi Vivah,
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has given a call of “ boycott Chinese products” to trading community of the Country which is expected to give a loss of trade of about Rs 1 lakh crore to China in terms of non import of festive and other goods by traders & importers.

The CAIT is actively working since 2020 for its boycott Chinese products campaign across the Country. Last year China suffered a loss of festive business of about 75 crores.
CAIT National President B C Bhartia & Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atamnirbhar Bharat and Made in India campaign has motivated the traders not to sell Chinese goods.
“Another significant change is that from now the Consumers are also not interested in purchasing Chinese goods and prefer Indian goods during festival period. CAIT will launch the “ boycott Chinese goods” campaign on 1st September all over the Country. However, CAIT has already advised traders across the Country to sell Rakhi’s purely made in the Country,” said CAIT National President B C Bhartia & Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal.
CAIT National President B C Bhartia & Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that at a recent survey conducted by CAIT Research & Trade Development Society, a research arm of CAIT, in 20 Cities of different States which CAIT term as ‘ distribution cities, so far no order of diwali goods, firecrackers or other like items have been placed with China by Indian traders or importers and this years all festivals will be celebrated as “ Bhartiya Tyauhaar”.
These 20 cities are New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Raipur, Bhuvneshwar, Kolkata, Ranchi, Guwahati, Patna, Chennai, Bangluru, Hyderabad, Madurai, Pondicherry, Bhopal and Jammu. The CAIT’s call for boycott of Chinese goods is going to be a big jolt to Chinese trade and to fill the gap, the traders across the Country have a substantial stock of Indian goods with them to meet the requirements of the consumers.
