Ayodhya, NFAPost: In a recent statement, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his government’s commitment to prioritizing the development of Ayodhya. During his two-day visit to Ayodhya to assess the progress of the Ram Temple construction, the Chief Minister emphasized the significance of creating a divine, magnificent, and modern Ayodhya that would leave a lasting impression on visitors and devotees.
Echoing the vision of the Prime Minister, the official release quoted Chief Minister Adityanath, stating that the overall development of Ayodhya, often referred to as the “Dharmanagari” or the city of religious significance, holds paramount importance for the government. With this objective in mind, he directed the police to maintain law and order while dealing sensitively with the general public, tourists, and pilgrims in Ayodhya.
During his visit, Chief Minister Adityanath paid homage to Hanumangarhi and inspected the ongoing construction work at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. Emphasizing the need for efficient coordination between different departments, he underscored the importance of completing all projects in a time-bound manner, ensuring high-quality results.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Adityanath highlighted the necessity of developing Ayodhya as a city with uninterrupted drinking water facilities. He called for the formulation of a comprehensive water action plan and a water balance plan. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of constructing an underground sewer network and transforming Ayodhya into a city powered by solar energy.
Given Ayodhya’s status as a religious city, the Chief Minister urged for the respect of public sentiments, suggesting the prohibition of the consumption of meat and liquor within the city.
Regarding infrastructure developments, Chief Minister Adityanath was informed that the construction of the Rampath, spanning from Sahadatganj to Nayaghat, was 30% complete and was expected to be finished by December 31.
Asserting that Ayodhya would soon be recognized as a world-class city, the Chief Minister expressed his belief that it would become a focal point of Sanatan Dharma, referring to the eternal principles and practices of Hinduism.
