The Icon Range and High Capacity Inverter Range are the two new offerings by Luminous. The Icon Range is perhaps India’s first inverter with premium ultra-modern looks that come with unprecedented safety and convenience features. Portable, silent, and aesthetically designed, it can even be placed in your living room. With a strong battery backup, it can run the load of a 3 BHK home and showroom, which constitutes the biggest market segment.
The High Capacity Inverter is a technological marvel for commercial users. A zero-noise strong inverter, it caters to offices, showrooms, banks, dental clinics, educational institutions, restaurants, salons, ice cream parlours, etc., where higher capacity loads over 2KVA are needed. The High Capacity Inverter can comfortably run heavy loads like air-conditioners, all kitchen appliances, etc. As a highly energy-efficient inverter, the user gets 2-5 hrs of backup time. Being a strong system, it comes with a warranty period of 24 months.
Luminous is marketing these two new offerings through its extensive dealer network across India. While the Icon is priced at around 9,000 for a 900 VA rating and 14,000 for a 1400 VA capacity, High Capacity Inverters will be retailed at around 12,000 for 2 KVA and go up to 85,000 for a 10KVA system, respectively.
Ms Bajaj stated that India is a high-priority market for Schneider due to its huge growth potential of a USD 20 billion market growing at 6% CAGR, according to Niti Ayog. Luminous will play a pivotal role in boosting this market significantly. They have an ambitious plan in place for an aggressive 12-15% growth in the next 3 years. They will be launching a host of futuristic products, setting up new manufacturing plants, and expanding their robust channel network.
On the product front, they will launch new-age Lithium-ion batteries, solar acceleration, high-power inverters, etc. They will be setting up new greenfield plants, expanding their geographic footprint, and boosting people and business partner development. They intend to invest substantially in brand building, digitization, and consumer engagement programs.
