IT Quiz Conducted by Tata Consultancy Services and BITES, Tested Students’ Knowledge in Emerging Technologies
BENGALURU, April 11, 2023: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) and the Board for IT Education Standards (BITES) an autonomous body promoted by the Government of Karnataka, announced the winners of the 14th edition of TCS TechBytes.
Winner: Chandrachud J – PES University
Runner-up: Dheeraj Angadi – KLE Dr M S Sheshgiri College of Engineering and Technology, Belagavi
TCS gave the winner and runner-up education scholarships of Rs 85,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. It also rewarded the finalists with education scholarships. Sunil Deshpande, Regional Head, TCS Bengaluru and Dr Selvan D, Co-Chairman, BITES presented the awards. Dr Vidyashankar S, VTU Vice Chancellor who was the chief guest for the program, urged students to be future-ready and adapt to technological changes to succeed. The program was also attended by Dr K.V. Mahendra Prashanth, Principal of SJB Institute of Technology.

Students from nearly 120 engineering colleges across Karnataka participated in the quiz this year. The program was held as a combination of online tests, and virtual and physical quiz shows, providing students with an engaging digital experience. The quiz had four segments – Tech Monitor, Tech Curiosity, Tech Circuit, Tech Unlimited and Tech Agility – testing the students’ technology acumen.

The Regional Finals of TCS TechBytes were conducted across six cities in Karnataka – Hubballi, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Kalaburagi and Tumkuru.
