New Delhi, NFAPost: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Chairman of Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) Young Liu in New Delhi.
They discussed the various topics aimed at enhancing India’s tech and innovation eco-system. In response to a tweet by Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), the Prime Minister tweeted;
“Had a good meeting with Mr. Young Liu. Our discussions covered various topics aimed at enhancing India’s tech and innovation eco-system,” Tweets Prime Minister Nadrendra Modi.
The meeting assumes significance as Foxconn is already looking to increase its investments in India and committed another $500 million investment in its India business.
Foxconn Hon Hai is among the three vendors that assemble Apple’s iPhones in India along with Pegatron and Wistron.
The visit of Young Liu assumes significance as India is making concerted efforts to set up its own fab manufacturing facility and enhance electronics industry a global one.
