Brief on Aero India International Seminar 2023
Bengaluru, 12 February 2023: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in association with the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) is organizing the 14th biennial Aero India International Seminar on the 12th of February 2023, as a prelude to Aero India 2023 Aerospace Exposition. Aero India International Seminar is one of the premier seminars in the world with 13th editions successfully held between 1996 and 2021.
Aero India International Seminar 2023 provides the best exposure to all participating professionals by bringing together the best in the field from all over the world. Several innovative ideas are exchanged for the benefit of all participating nations. It also provides an opportunity to establish collaborative programs for innovative technology partnerships. In the long run, the vision of these should ultimately culminate in fruitful technology collaborations and self-reliance. The theme Aerospace and Defence Technologies – Way forward’., and sub-themes have been conceptualized to provide extensive interaction and dissemination of information between scientists, designers, manufacturers, users, operators and academia. The seminar covers a wide range of topics including future novel research in emerging composite technologies, futuristic power and propulsion technology, Machine Learning models in complex airborne systems, verification of Al systems, High-end aerospace instrumentation and emerging trends in airborne surveillance technologies etc. All these topics are covered in three parallel sessions.
About 21 speakers of eminence from both India and abroad are delivering talks in three parallel sessions leading to the emergence of innovative ideas and scope for collaborative projects. One plenary talk and two Keynote talks are planned. The plenary talk will be delivered by Shri S Somanath, Secretary DOS & Chairman ISRO. The Keynote talks will be delivered by Mr M Z Sidddique, DG (NS&M) DRDO and Prof Joseph Mathew, Chairman, Aerospace Dept. Indian Institute of Science.
A panel discussion is planned on “The Perspectives of Research and Development in Aerospace and Defence sectors in India for next 25 years” where scientists, technocrats, policymakers and academia will participate. This will also include industry partners such as Boing, Rolls Royce, Ms NewSpace, VJ Technologies, Safran, Honeywell, Cranfield and Mathworks. The speakers from these industries and academia hail from, France, UK and USA. The Indian speakers represent Govt. sectors like DRDO, ISRO, NAL, HAL and the academic institute IISc.
More than 600 delegates are participating in the seminar including student delegates, and delegates from R&D & industries.
