Belagavi, NFAPost: Deshpande Startups, India’s largest technology business incubator, recently onboarded 45 early revenue stage startups to its DS-NIDHI Accelerator & WeEnable Bharat-Women Accelerator Programme.
The 16-week cohort-driven, structured, high-touch market and investment-focused program will help them to accelerate their growth, improve existing processes and explore new business opportunities. It will also involve intense mentoring, intervention in the area of constraint, and providing access to strategic resources to scale their business rapidly.
DeshpandeStartups has designed a unique market-focused accelerator program named “NIDHI ACCELERATOR” supported by NIDHI Accelerator, Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India and “WeENABLE BHARAT – WOMEN ACCELERATOR” supported by Elevate women Initiative, Govt of Karnataka. The programs focus on enabling tech start-ups led by men and women to be market and investment-ready. The current cohort includes 30 women-led tech start-ups.
The onboarding day marked the presence of dignitaries such as Mrs Champa E, GM, KITS; Mrs Shravani Pawar, CEO, Safehands; Ms Shruti Singhal, Regional Head, Indian Angel Network; Ms Rohini G, CEO, Wide Mobilty Pvt Ltd, and Mr Aravind Chinchure, CEO, Deshpande Startups.
Speaking about this, CEO, Deshpande Startups CEO Aravind Chinchure said in the recent years, startups have been clearly recognised on the economic agenda, including efforts to promote entrepreneurship.
“These interventions address gender-specific financing challenges, provide skills training and mentorship access, and build market linkages. I welcome more start-ups to leverage this opportunity and the support of Deshpande Startups and such partnerships to become a catalyst in their growth,” said Deshpande Startups CEO Aravind Chinchure.
Adding further, KITS General Manager Champa E said India has more women-owned enterprises than many other countries.
“When provided equal access to inputs, women-led companies produce equally economically solid outcomes. Ecosystem enablers play a huge role in creating a conducive environment to motivate more people, especially women, to take up entrepreneurship as a career path,” said KITS General Manager Champa E.
Deshpande Startups Senior Director Sudhanva and Deputy Director Golden Frankly congratulated the entire team for this Onboarding and provided an overview of the Programme and its outcomes to the start-up community. Ms Shruti Singhal emphasized the importance of start-ups, especially women-owned enterprises, in value and job creation in the Indian economy
