Cyberverse Foundation launches Cyberverse Lab in Mysuru to further bring synergy in making the city cybersecurity hub
Bengaluru, NFAPost: Cop connect is a new initiative which will ensure cyber security and add strength in checking cyber crimes, said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
He was speaking after launching Cyberverse Lab, Cop Connect and Cyberhygiene organised by Cyberverse Foundation in Mysuru on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister said intelligence of the users is very important in the use of technology and at the same time they have the history of misuse of this intelligence.
“It is pertinent to give importance to values and moral while gaining expertise in the field of technology. This new application will be helpful in resolving cyber security incidents, creating condusive atmosphere and bringing together cyber psychiatrists, cyber advocates and forensic experts to find out solutions. Besides, it will help in creating awareness on cyber crimes and provide instant solution soon after Tye crimes, as well as finding out the offenders,” said said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Basavaraj Bommai observed that the cyber security was an advanced technological field but still the cyber thieves will always achieve the upper hand.
“But the Cyberverse company has been working to improve the situation, as well as to strike a balance by creating awareness. The company’s high quality centre consists of six notable features and that will be helpful in improving the India’a technical skills,” said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
As home minister, Basavaraj Bommai recalled that he had always batted for an United strength to check the cyber criminals both in government and industries.
The CM said the royal family of Mysore has the history of having the concern for the well-being of the society, and that tradition has been continued. The contribution of Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar in the field of cyber security was notable, he added.
Speaking to TheNFAPost, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission( KDEM) Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Gupta said KDEM has signed MOUs with Bherunda Foundation managed by the Royal Family of Mysuru and Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) on cyber security capacity building for protection of digital economy.
“Bherunda Foundation, ISAC and Mysuru Royal Academy ( Myra) have come together to create the Cyberverse Foundation, a non profit organization to realise the mission of cyber security capacity building. Cyberverse is establishing a state level cyber security hub through a Center of Excellence( COE) at Mysuru, which will be developed further as a state of the art Cyberange,” said KDEM Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Gupta.
The CoE is a combination of Physical and digital platforms with enormous opportunities for skill development in the much needed cyber security field. KDEM has a plan to create 300000 professionals in cyber security.
His Highness Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, member of the erstwhile royal family said synergising the efforts of Bherunda Foundation is to strengthen the Government of Karnataka’s Beyond Bengaluru initiative.
“Through the Center for Excellence in Cyber Security, we aim to create a sustainable and growth-driving ecosystem, wherein a business can transcend their ideas to reality, and catalyse entrepreneur success,” said His Highness Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar.
