Bengaluru, NFAPost: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai on Tuesday said the state government will do everything possible to encourage women entrepreneurs.
Inaugurating the unique programme-The Digital Transformation-A big leap, an initiative to provide digital marketing training to 10,000 women jointly organised by UBUNTU & UNESCAP, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai said the government already launched many schemes in the past and will continue to do so in the future as well.
“We strongly believe that India will become a better place when all the women entrepreneurs join hands. I want to reiterate that we want to make Karnataka an economical growth engine where women entrepreneurs will be the major driving force,” said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai.
Trust is the capital of Digital Marketing
Appreciating the efforts of UBUNTU, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai said UBUNTU under the leadership of former Chief Secretary Ms K Ratnaprabha has carved a big name across the country.
“UBUNTU is doing a noble task of encouraging creativity and entrepreneurship among women. The Digital marketing programme is a major initiative as today digital marketing has a major share in the market. As women entrepreneurs should not be left behind in learning digital marketing, UBUNTU has organised this special programme,” said Basavaraj S. Bommai.
Besides helping businesses to grow at a larger scale, he said Digital Marketing is faceless marketing where the customer hardly meets the customer and vice versa.
” Hence, trust and faith plays a great role. This is the reason why trust and not money is the capital in digital marketing. So, if you build trust then there are no boundaries for growth. Secondly, technology keeps changing. So, all of you need to be upgrading yourself with the changing technology,” said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai.
Free of Cost Training
The virtual training aims to provide introduction to digital marketing tools, introduction to using e-commerce to promote business reaching out to national and international markets to women entrepreneurs besides enabling them to upscale their business.
The training is facilitated by UBUNTU free of cost to the women entrepreneurs and a certificate will be issued after the training. More than 220 women entrepreneurs from different parts of State and also country are taking part in the training programme.

The function was presided over by Smt. K. Ratnaprabha, IAS (Retd) (Founder President and UBUNTU CONSORTIUM, Bengaluru, and Former Chief Secretary Govt. Of Karnataka) and Smt. Mikiko Tanaka Head (ESCAP South & South- West Asia office, New Delhi.) participated.
