Karnataka Innovation And Technology Society (KITS) and The GAIN, sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a partnership for jointly discover and foster women-led tech startups in the state
Bengaluru, NFAPost: The GAIN, a Bengaluru-based platform for the global acceleration of startup, signed a memorandum of understanding with KITS for scaling up women led tech startups ecosystem in Karnataka.
The GAIN is a platform for the global acceleration of innovative startups, working with emerging technologies to leverage India’s talent pool and create a foothold in domestic and international markets. The GAIN support startups by providing access to new business, funding, active mentoring, and help to scale up.
The programme is championed by the finest industry veterans and several subject matter experts, with a spotlight on Go-To-Market and PoC implementation, making it one of the exquisite programs for tech startups that are looking to scale up.
Commenting on the development, The GAIN Cofounder and CEO Varad Rajan Krishna said “Women Elevate” is an Acceleration programme that will address not only the “gender specific challenges and needs” of women entrepreneurs but also those that are beyond Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns of Karnataka state.
“Through this program we will prepare these women entrepreneurs to go to market, raise investments and also the opportunity to go global through our network of ecosystem partners in 7 countries,” said The GAIN Cofounder and CEO Varad Rajan Krishna.
The main objective of the proposed programme is to nurture and grow early-stage women entrepreneurs based out of Karnataka. To accelerate the growth stage of women entrepreneurs, so as to scale up their ventures with mentorship and a vision of making the start-up ecosystem in Karnataka inclusive. This will create a virtual network of women entrepreneurs in Karnataka aiming at improving the ecosystem and scale their startups manifolds.
The accelerator will help women founders in developing MVP, fundraising, global connections and making them investment ready. The entire program is designed for the benefit of women tech entrepreneurs across various emerging technology verticals in Karnataka. In this, women entrepreneurs across the state including Elevate Finalist/Winners, Grand Challenge Finalist/Winners and NAIN students would be the beneficiaries of the programme.
