Bengaluru, NFAPost: Wipro PARI, the industrial automation business of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (a Wipro Enterprises entity), announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Hochrainer GmbH, based in Freilassing, Germany.
Hochrainer GmbH, a family-owned company, has been in operations since 1973 and employs around 130 people. The company has established itself as an important supplier of automation technology and assembly systems for numerous global automobile manufacturers. Hochrainer also has a significant presence in other non-automotive sectors and works with key global players in these sectors.
For Wipro PARI, which has around 1300 employees and a significant global presence, this acquisition represents an important step in the strategic development of the group in Europe.
For Hochrainer, it will help the company achieve sustainable growth and have access to resources and future technologies to compete globally. The leadership team of Erich and Werner Hochrainer would now be part of the European organisation of Wipro PARI.
Commenting on the acquisition, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) CEO Pratik Kumar said the company’s Industrial Automation business has grown significantly in the last four years.

The Hochrainer management sees the realignment as absolutely positive and both companies have been established in their fields for years as world leaders in innovation, technology, and quality.
“Together we will be able to expand this position further. We are convinced that this engagement will bring significant benefits to customers and long-term future prospects for Wipro Hochrainer,” states Hochrainer management.
Wipro PARI Managing Director & Co-CEO Ranjit Date said the company looks forward to further developing Hochrainer as an innovation leader.
