IIT-Tirupathi Director Pro Dr K N Satyanarayana unveils the event website
Hyderabad, NFAPost: Lead Foundation Global (LFG) in association with IIT-Tirupati will host Asia’s largest agritech conference Agfoodtech360 on December 6, 2022, at IIT Thirupathi.
Agfoodtech360, a one-day event, will be inaugurated by NABARD (the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) Chairman Dr G R Chintala.
As part of the event, there is an Innovation Challenge to drum up innovation frenzy among academia and startup. The Innovation Challenge is led by The Gain CEO Varad Krishna.

Launching the website, IIT-Tirupathi Director Pro Dr K N Satyanarayana said Agfoodtech360 is an event which is the need of the hour as the agriculture sector and food processing industry are facing multiple challenges and technology can really bring a disruption in their growth journey.
“Indian agriculture with its wide climatic region and product variety is failing multiple challenges and technology will be an enabler in bringing prosperity to various stakeholders. Also, rising disposable income will give a new dimension to food processing and agriculture. Here, we should have a global approach,” Satyanarayana added.
Speaking at the event, Agfoodtech360 Organising Committee Chairman J A Choudhari said that even after 75 years of Indian independence agriculture sector and food processing industry are still facing multiple challenges.
“Agfoodtech360 will showcase the latest developments in the agribusiness sector by bringing together innovators, policymakers, business owners, investors, consumers, NGO representatives, and government officials both from India and the world. We want the event to make a deep impact in the innovation ecosystem and policy parlance in the country,” said J A Choudhary.
“Youth winners of the Innovation Challenge will demonstrate their unique award-winning solutions during Agfoodtech360. Besides the award, the winners will be mentors and given scholarships,” said Varad Krishna.
Commenting on the relevance of the event, Lead Foundation Global USA Founding President and Chairman Hari Eppanapally said although its contribution in the gross domestic product (GDP) has reduced to less than 20% agriculture is livelihood for a majority of the Indian population.
“We should understand that India is blessed with large arable land with 15 agro-climatic zones so that we can do cultivation of varied crops. It is high time that we should harness modern technologies so that we can increase output and stabilise soil conditions. I believe Agfoodtech360 will give a new dimension in this effort and become an annual conclave to take up global initiative from India as we are also facing many climate change issues,” said Lead Foundation Global USA Founding President and Chairman Hari Eppanapally.
The conference will happen under 4 themes titled Plant Health & Nutrition, Animal Nutrition & Health, Data and equipment and Food technology. Also, as part of the event, over 100 carefully chosen exhibitors from across the world showcase their tech prowess.
Agfoodtech360 is expecting active participation from students, startups, professors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and investors. The event will have representatives from Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, the Netherlands, Israel, Australia and US, among others, are invited to present their game-changing innovations.
