Fylamynt is an innovative CloudOps automation technology company that enables customers to build, run, manage and analyze workflows securely in any cloud with little to no code
San Francisco/ Bengaluru, NFAPost: NetApp, a global, cloud-led, data-centric software company, announced that it has acquired Fylamynt, a venture-backed, innovative CloudOps automation technology company that enables customers to build, run, manage and analyze workflows securely in any cloud with little to no code. Financial details of the transaction are not being disclosed.
Organisations moving to and operating in the cloud need to be able to operate at speed and code their infrastructures. Applications must integrate with the services and workflows across their cloud environments.
As the number of services and workflows increase, developing and maintaining these integrations and automations quickly becomes expensive, complex and time-consuming, requiring site reliability engineering (SRE) resources. Fylamynt addresses these challenges with its innovative low code, no code technology for cloud automation, enabling DevOps and SREs to scale, optimize and maintain their cloud operations at a fraction of the cost.
NetApp India Managing Director & Vice President India/SAARC Marketing and Services Puneet Gupta said as NetApp has continued to establish itself as a leader in the cloud, the native integration of Fylamynt with Spot by NetApp will allow organisations to rapidly and reliably deploy Spot by NetApp services within their existing cloud environments.
“Customers and partners will benefit from Fylamynt’s low-code framework and cloud automation engine for DevOps and SREs. Combined with Fylamynt’s pre-built integrations and Spot’s full CloudOps portfolio, they will be able to accelerate, optimise and automate their cloud operations infrastructure,” said NetApp India Managing Director & Vice President India/SAARC Marketing and Services Puneet Gupta.
NetApp India Managing Director & Vice President India/SAARC Marketing and Services Puneet Gupta said this strategic acquisition accelerates NetApp’s overall CloudOps leadership and empowers customers to continue to enjoy more cloud at less cost.
The acquisition of Fylamynt builds on NetApp’s momentum and investment to grow the Spot by NetApp portfolio of leading CloudOps multi-cloud infrastructure management services. Over the last two years, the company’s strategic acquisitions to expand Spot by NetApp’s portfolio include CloudHawk for security and compliance, Data Mechanics for data analytics and machine learning workloads in the cloud, and CloudCheckr for cloud cost management.
Fylamynt Cofounder and CEO Pradeep Padala said Fylamynt built a suite of technologies designed to automate every part of a cloud workflow.
“With our common vision to help teams deploy and run at cloud speed, we’re excited to integrate our modern cloud automation capabilities into the Spot by NetApp portfolio to ultimately democratize automation for every enterprise,” said Fylamynt Cofounder and CEO Pradeep Padala.
He also said the team built an amazing cloud automation product with a delightful low-code interface. “Our users can drag and drop more than forty different integrations seamlessly to build any workflow that caters to a wide variety of use-cases including incident response, cost optimization and SecOps,” said Pradeep Padala.
Fylamynt Cofounder and CEO Pradeep Padala also said though the platform can help with any cloud automation, Fylamynt decided to focus on the SRE market to help SREs improve their incident response.
“We had some initial success as a standalone product for SREs, but we truly believe that the power of Fylamynt shines when we are integrated into a portfolio of products to serve any automation use-case on any cloud. We were impressed with the Spot portfolio and the amazing team behind it and are very excited to join Spot,” said Fylamynt Cofounder and CEO Pradeep Padala.
The company also thanked its major investors Gradient, Mango, Point72 and angel investors and advisors, who believed in their idea.
Gradient Ventures Partner Zaveri said Fylamynt is at the intersection of applied AI and workflow automation.
“We are excited to support the Fylamynt team in this uniquely positioned product with a deep bench of integrations and a non-prescriptive builder approach. The vision of automating every part of a cloud workflow is just the beginning,” said Gradient Ventures Partner Zaveri.
Fylamynt’s modern cloud automation platform is flexible and powerful to solve any customer use case including automated remediation, governance, compliance, cost and performance management. Fylamynt’s cloud provides a single orchestration engine to run any infrastructure code, while allowing the option of connecting to various services including DataDog, Splunk, PagerDuty, Slack and ServiceNow.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Fylamynt is a cloud automation platform. The company was founded in 2019 by Dr. Pradeep Padala, Dr. Xiaoyun Zhu, and David Lee and is backed by Gradient Ventures, Google’s AI-focused venture fund, Mango Capital and Point72 Capital with angel investments from Liquid2 Ventures, Ameet Patel, Sri Pangulur and others.
