Innovation lab launched at RBEI Koramangala Campus
Demonstrates importance of innovation for Bosch in the current times
Provides software and hardware equipment for all associates to get hands-on experience on the next-generation technologies like AIoT, AR/VR, and Blockchain
Bengaluru, India: Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions (RBEI) launched India’s first Hacker’s Garage at RBEI Koramangala Campus to enable work on the next-generation technologies like AIoT, AR/VR, and Blockchain.
The Hacker’s Garage was inaugurated by Bosch Group Chief Digital Officer (CDO) Dr. Tanja Rückert on 24th November 2021. The innovation lab will focus on building technology demonstrators and validating them before they take shape into scalable solutions.
The Hackers Garage will be open for all associates 24/7 to enable them to get hands-on experience with the leading edge of technology. In addition, it will provide an enriching experience of new innovations and will enable associates to come up with ideas for products and solutions of the future.
The innovation lab will be a playground for potential ideas which will be identified through pitches and will be further incubated to go to market. The center will also be a collaborative ecosystem for Start-ups, external companies and academia to participate in an environment of co-creation and co-innovation.
Commenting on the new lab, Bosch Group Chief Digital Officer (CDO) Dr. Tanja Rückert said innovation is at the core of driving digital transformation.

With initiatives such as the Hacker’s Garage, RBEI will provide a unique creative space and the right environment for its associates & start-ups to nurture innovators of tomorrow and drive digital transformation for our customers and the society,” said Bosch Group Chief Digital Officer (CDO) Dr. Tanja Rückert.
Commenting on the occasion, RBEI CEO, President and Managing Director Dattatri Salagame said innovation is vital more than ever in an age of disruption.
“RBEI is helping businesses in India and around the world prepare for the future. The Hacker’s garage will enable us to accelerate this capability-building journey and challenge the digital frontiers. This initiative will help us become future-ready and also realize our aspirations of becoming an AIoT company,” said Dattatri Salagame.
RBEI has in-depth understanding of key AIoT capabilities, competency and has prior experience to implement solutions, with existing partnerships with various ecosystem players. The Hacker’s Garage will partner with enterprises who want to build connected products.
Considering the need for remote and hybrid work post pandemic, the lab will be integrated with different remote and virtual platforms. RBEI will also set up similar innovation labs in other locations of RBEI in the coming years. The company also plans to collaborate with startups, universities, customers and suppliers to bring the best solutions to the market.
