Bengaluru, NFAPost: Nestlings, a cloud-based AI platform based in the Silicon Valley in California, opened their first office outside of the USA in India with the launch of their Bengaluru office here on Thursday.
Nestlings, co-founded by Bengaluru couple settled in California – Rajashekar Basavaraju and Sowmya Satish – offers a one-stop solution that connects students with higher education universities abroad and within the country, student loans, scholarship, internships, placements and visa assistance – all on a single platform and the services are completely free for students.
It is also offering a total scholarship of $250,000 for the first few applicants. It also announced free International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) training for the first 100 students to register.
“The idea of providing a 360 degree service for the students germinated from our personal experience where we had to struggle to get information and had to apply separately for each of the institutes and there was no proper guidance. After a successful stint in the USA, we thought of helping students from our motherland,” said Former Apple Product employee and Nestlings Cofounder and CEO Sowmya.
Karnataka IT, BT, Science & Technology and Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayana who inaugurated the India operations of the company said that with the opening of Bengaluru office, Nestlings will cater to thousands of students from Karnataka who are desirous of pursuing higher education and career ready internships.
“I think it is a boon for the students who wish to pursue higher studies or looking for internships at premium institutes. I had earlier said that we (Govt. of Karnataka) will involve private institutions for job placement for our students and this is the way in the right direction. Speaking at the event, Visvesvaraya Technical University (VTU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Karisiddappa said Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is happy to hear that Nestlings is setting up a base in Bengaluru.
“The University sees a direct connect with their services which are on the lines of the vision of Government of Karnataka in achieving excellence in the Higher Education. I am sure and hope that students from Karnataka utilize the platform of Nestlings to the fullest in pursuit of their career. Expressing happiness over opening new office in Bengaluru, Nestling Cofounder Rajashekar Basavaraju sdaid on the recommendation of Dr. Ashwath Narayan, Nestlings will also build a platform to attract students to make Karnataka as preferred education destination for students both from India and abroad.

So far, Nestlings has more than 50,000 students on its platform. It has partnered with over 300 universities and more recently, signed a premium partnership with one of the largest student loan providers and testing centers in Southeast Asia.
