TMI Healthcare Private Limited announced the successful completion of a strategic investment by Kris Gopalakrishnan’s Prathiti Investment Trust.
Bengaluru, NFAPost: Infosys cofounder Kris Gopalakrishnan’s Prathiti Investment Trust has made a strategic investment in TMI Healthcare which owns and operates People Tree Hospitals in Bengaluru.
TMI Healthcare owns and operates four multi-specialty hospitals named “People Tree Hospitals” in Bengaluru, including an exclusive psychiatry hospital in the city.
People Tree Hospitals with its teritiary flagship hospital in Yeshwanthpur has so far touched the lives of 2,00,000 plus people in the city with 40 plus specialities, state of the art operation theatre, well equipped neonatal paediatric and adult intensive care facilities led by a team of specialist doctors and support team of caregivers.
Expressing happiness over the investment, People Tree Hospitals Managing Director and CEO Dr Jothi S Neeraja said Prathithi’s investment and Gopalakrishna’s support will enable People Tree Hospitals to scale up and accelerate its journey.

Prathiti Investment Trust, owned by Kris Gopalakrishnan, is a single-family office, investing in public markets, real estate and venture capital. Prathiti Investment Trust which started its journey in 2014 is focused on supporting entrepreneurship, technological advances and scientific research in India.
Commenting on the investment, Kris Gopalakrishnan said Pratithi is delighted to be part of People Tree’s journey of providing quality healthcare to communities it seeks to serve. Healthcare has to move in a very much more accelerated pace towards affordability, inclusiveness, quality and accessibility.
“Emerging and disruptive technologies such as machine learning, AI-based genomic interpretation, clinical research, digital interventions will need much faster adoption in the areas of preventive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative care,” said Kris Gopalakrishnan.
He also pointed out that Prathithi through its strategic investments in the past year in preventive, curative and palliative models of healthcare is committed to furthering the cause of good health and doing its best to elevate, transform and set standards of excellence in health care delivery by focussing on whole person’s care.
Pratithi Investment Trust has made around 9 investments. Their most recent investment was on Jun 30, 2021, when ki Mobility Solutions raised Rs 8.50 crore.It also made investments in RentoMojo, Curefit, Hungerbox, Bewakoof and CropIn.
Dr Upendra Kumar Kandluri has taken over as the Medical Director of People Tree Hospitals and Mr Swami D Swaminathan is the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company.
