Thiruvananthapuram, NFAPost: Kerala Tourism Minister P A Mohammed Riyas along with Transport Minister Antony Raju launched ‘Keravan Kerala’, which offers luxury camper travel experience for vacationers when they come to God’s Own Country.
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the makers of BharatBenz Trucks and Buses, unveiled its luxurious ready-for-road BharatBenz caravan in association with Autobahn Trucking Dealership and JCBL Group, to support the Kerala Tourism Department’s latest initiative- ‘Keravan Kerala’.
Speaking at the event, P A Mohammed Riyas said addressing post-pandemic travel preferences, ‘Keravan Kerala’ will target encouraging the camping culture in the state.
“The Kerala Tourism Department is making aggressive efforts to promote in the state as part of increasing state GDP and creating more employment. We will make pro-active measure to make Kerala the top tourism destination in the country with a focus on sustainability,” said P A Mohammed Riyas.
BharatBenz chassis has been chosen as the preferred model and will be available in two configurations customised to accommodate 2 or 4 travelers with a host of in-built features delivering maximum comfort and safety. It comes equipped with a spacious lounge area and modern amenities like recliner seats and a television to make the travel experience fun and comfortable.
The kitchen area is furnished with all the necessary appliances like a refrigerator, microwave, induction cooktop, and custom-built storage for tableware to ensure they stay in place while the caravan is in motion. The fully air-conditioned caravan has tastefully designed and comfortable double bunk beds in the bedroom and a restroom with a shower.
DICV Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service, Rajaram Krishnamurthy said the pandemic has fundamentally transformed the trend and approach to travel habits.
