Bengaluru, NFAPost: The women entrepreneurs will get all the assistance from the government to compete and excel in the business, promised Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani on Tuesday during ‘Kaigarika Adalat’ at Bengaluru Palace.
The Minister assured the women entrepreneurs while releasing a brochure on the upcoming event ‘Together We Grow’ which will be held on the occasion of International Women Entrepreneurship Day on November 18 at a private hotel here.
Interacting with the delegation of UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Associations, Minister Murugesh Nirani said the state government is committed to help women entrepreneurs.
“Our Government is committed to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among the women. We will extend cooperation and support and provide necessary guidance and assistance to women entrepreneurs. We believe that empowering our women is like empowering our society. And I’m glad to note that many women in our state are turning successful entrepreneurs and providing jobs to many particularly women,” Murugesh Nirani said.
Former Karnataka Chief Secretary K Ratnaprbha, President of UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Associations had recently met Murugesh Nirani and discussed issues related to women entrepreneurs. They plan to hold ‘Together We Grow’ event on the occasion of International Women Entrepreneurship Day on November 18, 2021 at Hotel Lalit Ashok here.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will inaugurate the event which is aimed at connecting more than 30 plus associations and their 13,000 members to nurture women entrepreneurs. The event is also aimed at providing a platform for budding women entrepreneurs to meet and interact with successful entrepreneurs so that they can get inspired and get valuable information and guidance to succeed in business. Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani, Bidyut Behari Swain, Secretary, MSME, Government of India and other dignitaries will attend the event.
Around 400 successful women entrepreneurs from 7 states, industry experts, mentors and market leaders are expected to take part in the ‘Together We Grow’ event.
Praising the UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Associations for its role in promoting women entrepreneurship and aiding women self-help groups, Minister Murugesh Nirani who is also a successful industrialist, said the state offers excellent opportunities.
“I applaud UBUNTU headed by Ratnaprabha for encouraging the spirit of entrepreneurship among the women and helping them achieve success. Karnataka offers excellent opportunities for women entrepreneurs and we are here to encourage and help them. Our government gives many concessions including subsidies and incentives to promote industries. We are committed to assist women entrepreneurs in every possible manner,” Minister Murugesh Nirani assured.

Industrial units in Karnataka will get sale deeds within 10 to 15 days after the execution of projects, promised Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani. The minister made the statement on Tuesday while addressing industrialists during Kaigarika Adalat at the Bengaluru Palace.
Promising to address the concerns raised by the industrialists, Minister Nirani said being an industrialist himself he was aware of the problems. “We are conducting Kaigarika Adalat to ensure business-friendly atmosphere in the state. We will get the sale deeds done soon after the completion of the projects,” Nirani promised.
Allaying fears and apprehensions over several issues plaguing the business community, Minister Nirani said the State government is committed to help industries.
“Government will address all the problems raised by industrialists including power, water and logistics. It’s our duty to ensure ease of doing business and maintain investor-friendly atmosphere. We will take necessary steps to address basic infrastructure problems including power and water,” said Murugesh Nirani said while thanking the industrialists and industry bodies for good response.
The industry department received 233 applications that mentioned problems related to 29 government departments. Over 16 industrial associations have responded to minister’s letter.
Stressing on the need to adhere to pollution control board’s norms, the minister said industrial units should adapt modern technology.
“Rules and regulations of pollution control board are getting tougher, our industries should become environment-friendly and adapt new technologies to reduce pollution,” said Murugesh Nirani.
He also promised to address the concerns over industrial land value which should not exceed over 20% of the actual price after development & conversion.
Expressing satisfaction over the response to ‘Udyami Aagu, Udyoga Needu’ and ‘Kaigarika Adalat’, Minister Nirani said the similar two-day event will be held in other parts of the state in coming months.
