Ranking marks 21st consecutive year as member

With an overall score of 4.2 on a scale from 0 to 5 (5 is the best score), ABB has improved on the previous year’s score, in particular due to progress in corporate governance and transparency. The company is ranked among the best performers in the index globally and above sector average.
FTSE4Good is a global sustainable investment index series, designed to identify companies that demonstrate strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices measured against international standards. The series is an important tool for a wide variety of market participants when creating or assessing sustainable investment products.
ABB Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer Theodor Swedjemark ABB is proud to be acknowledged as a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series and that the company’s efforts are being recognized.

The 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October–12 November 2021 will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
With global society having less than a decade to cut CO2 emissions in half to meet the 1.5°C climate goal of the Paris Agreement, new ambitious policies are being introduced to reduce emissions and move to a low-carbon economy.
