The microblogging platform Twitter faced yet another outage and users across the world were unable to load tweets and many received the message saying “something went wrong” popped up on their mobile and computer screens.
As millions of users tried to log, but could not as messages such as “cannot retrieve Tweets at this time. Please try again later.”
Eager to know what’s happening with Twitter, users Googled to know the reasons for the technical snag.
On its part, Twitter issued a statement saying: “Tweets may not be loading for some of you. We’re working on fixing a problem and you’ll be back on the timeline soon,” Twitter Support posted on the social media platform.
Even yesterday, Twitter services were down for a large number of users. Around 40,000 users reported issues, according to outage monitoring website Downdetector.com
Downdetector tracks outages by collating status reports from a series of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform. The outage could have affected a larger number of users.
