Pegasystems Inc. has appointed Smriti Mathur as senior director and head of people organisation in India, the company announced in a statement.
Mathur’s role will encompass building a diverse and inclusive work culture while driving a strong people strategy that leverages technology to meet business agility and outcomes, the company said.
The company added that it has an aggressive hiring plan for India this year and is actively looking to hire leading talent to fuel the company’s innovation and growth.
“India is pivotal to Pega’s growth plans, and talent is our unique proposition in ensuring we stay agile and responsive to our clients in the digital world,” Pegasystems India Managing Director Suman Reddy said.

Mathur will provide strategic direction towards attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent in the industry to help build and deliver digital innovation to the world’s leading organisations, the company said.
Before being appointed at Pegasystems, Mathur was vice president, human resources at Deloitte, where she led talent strategy for global businesses across India, Australia, North-South Europe, and Canada.
Prior to that, she was with Microsoft where she was instrumental in setting up a global delivery center in Chongqing, China.
For more than 20 years Mathur has held leadership positions in fast growing companies and is recognised as an innovative, high-performing leader with the ability to architect, execute, and drive business growth, the company said.
Her areas of expertise include business advisory, talent acquisition, performance management, and learning & development.
