Brewing new business
Teja Chekuri who is the founder and Managing Partner at Ironhill India conceived the microbrewery concept after dabbling in a few startups and the food business.
After completing his degree in MS – Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Gannon University Teja Chekuri worked in various startups and IT companies.
He started his entrepreneurial journey with Northface Holdings as the Managing Director in 2012 and invested in Axlr Data Private Limited.
But Teja Chekuri kept coming back to food – his first love. He cofounded the Godavari Group of Restaurants in the US and continued to explore more in the segment.
“After entering the food business, I was pretty interested in experimenting with Indian mixes and unique spices that can be added to the brews to bring about an interesting experience for beer connoisseurs. That’s how Ironhill India came about. Since its launch, the brand has established multiple footprints at a rapid pace under his leadership,” he said.
Food lovers
Teja Chekuri has pell out his road map very clear for Ironhill as he wants to keep bringing new concepts of food and brews to food lovers everywhere. “With Ironhill, we want to focus on India to create a fabulous concept where you can enjoy authentic varieties of craft beer served with good food in a great ambience,” said Teja Chekuri.
As an entrepreneur, the soft-spoken Teja Chekuri defines risk-taking, creative thinking and an action-oriented approach as his key traits that drives him towards success.
“I enjoy reading, watching adventure movies, and travelling. If we have a bent of mind of a curious learner, it will be easy for an entrepreneur to explore new technology and adapt it to ensure seamless business operations,” said Teja Chekuri.
Teja Chekuri has made it clear that Iron Hill will come to go ahead with its plans to experiment and do research on new product development and ideas to bring in new concepts in the food and beverage industry.
