Bengaluru, NFAPost: GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of GMR Group is helping underprivileged students to secure their future in government jobs. GMRVF’s objectives are to develop social infrastructure and enhance the quality of life of communities around the locations that have the Group’s presence. Education, Health, Livelihoods, Women Empowerment are some of the key areas where it is making a meaningful impact.
GMRVF Accomplishments
Here are some of the salient accomplishments from the GMRVF in recent times:
- GMRVF helps 17 students get selected in Staff Selection Commission exam
- 3 girls among those selected for CISF
- Over 500 youth get employed in government services in 15 years
Recently, GMRVF’s ‘Pratibha Library and Counselling Center’ has helped seventeen students of Rajam, Srikakulam District (Andhra Pradesh), crack the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exam. In the recently conducted competitive selection, eight students were selected for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), five students for Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and four for Border Security Force (BSF). Of the seventeen students, what is worthy of mention is that there are 3 girls who were successfully selected for CISF.
Striving to make a valuable contribution to society, GMRVF’s ‘Pratibha Library and Counselling Center’ has been continuously mentoring the unemployed youth in securing government jobs. Established in 2005 in the heart of Rajam, Pratibha Library, and Counselling Centres’ main focus is to train young aspirants from the underprivileged sections by helping them make informed decisions to achieve their goals through a systematic strategy and preparing them well for all competitive selections for employability.

GMRVF has helped the students crack it through a strategic preparation plan, coaching by subject matter experts and mock tests. We will continue to nurture the youth to enable them to achieve their goals for the country’s brighter tomorrow.”
Apart from offering coaching to the job aspirants in ‘Arithmetic & Reasoning’ and ‘General Studies’, Pratibha Center has also helped them in terms of submitting the online application for the exam as well. Learning sessions were organised with successful candidates from the earlier batches to guide the aspirants.
The candidates who cleared the preliminary round were also offered help by making the College grounds of Sri GCSR college accessible for physical efficiency test. The efforts of the Pratibha Library and Counselling Center bore fruit when 17 candidates got selected in the recently announced SSC results.
Over the last 15 years, Pratibha Library has helped the youth in and around Rajam to secure more than 500 government jobs.
