Bengaluru, NFAPost: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) announced signing memorandum of understanding with Robotics Pvt Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) as part of Aero India 20221.
The signing of new two MoUs shows BEL commitment towards business expansion and collaboration efforts to new companies at a time when India is going through Make-In-India and Atmanirbharatha campaigns.
The agreement with Grene Robotics Pvt Ltd is primarily for co-operation in the development of Autonomous Manpads Data Link System (AMDLS). The MoU was signed on behalf of BEL and Grene Robotics Pvt Ltd by Rajasekharan M V, Director (R&D), BEL, and Wg Cdr M V N Sai, Director – Defence, Grene Robotics, respectively.

Commenting on the MoU with Grene Robotics, BEL Director (R&D) Rajasekharan M V said AMDL has a state-of-the-art data link system, which exploits AI to provide a comprehensive air defence solution.
“We are happy to be partnering with Grene Robotics, which is a niche company working in the core areas of AI and Robotics,” said Rajashekharan M V.
The company’s flagship product GreneOS is a unified Operating System that would be a replacement to enterprise systems in Fortune 1000 companies and Government offices across the world. GreneOS will be able to manage connected robots to maximum efficiency autonomously.
Besides raising $6 million funds from family and friends and others, Grene Robotics also raised $15 million in a Series A funding by the end of last year. The company Founder and CEO Kiran Raju had stated that the fund will be used for customer acquisition to raise the order book up to $55 million.
BEL also signed an MoU with Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) to continue cooperation in addressing the needs of the evolving domestic and export markets for Defence products and systems.
The MoU seeks to leverage capabilities of both the firms through strategic alignment, enhancing indigenisation content and collaboration using high-end and advanced technologies to meet domestic needs and enhance export prospects.
BEL Marketing Director Anandi Ramalingam and L&T Executive Vice President (Defence & Aerospace) signed the MoU documents. Larsen & Toubro is an Indian multinational engaged in EPC Projects, Hi-Tech Manufacturing and Services with over $21 billion in revenue.
