IBM is all set to reinvent its business model with new technology capabilities and acquisition. To enhance its Hybrid Cloud capabilities, IBM has taken over Cloud professional and managed services provider Taos for an undisclosed amount.

Based out of San Jose, California, Taos brings 30 years of experience with leading brands across technology, financial services, healthcare, retail, transportation and education. Tailored solutions and services from Taos help organisation modernize, migrate, and effortlessly manage their multi-cloud environment and everything in between.

Taos helps today’s enterprises and rapidly growing businesses harness the power of the cloud and DevOps with digital transformation and optimization solutions. As a Global Leader of Cloud and DevOps, Taos continues to solve What’s Next.

Taos has a strong alliance with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure to deliver data centre migration, platform engineering and hybrid cloud managed services, IBM said.

“Taos adds the deep expertise, public cloud partnerships and innovative solutions needed to drive growth and adoption of IBM’s hybrid cloud platform throughout the Americas,” said John Granger, SVP, Cloud Application Innovation and COO, IBM Global Business Services.

As per the industry analysts the market for cloud professional services will exceed $200 billion by 2024.

“Our laser-like focus on helping clients migrate to the cloud, modernise multi-cloud platforms, and manage hybrid cloud environments over the past several years is a natural fit with IBM Global Business Services,” said Hamilton Yu, CEO of Taos.

Gartner recognised Taos in the 2020 Magic Quadrant Report for Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Service Providers. Gartner appreciated Taos ability to execute and completeness of vision among 20 vendors.
